Scratch is a programming language based on flow-chart-like “logic blocks” which stack and group in visually intuitive ways. It was designed by MIT’s Media Lab for teaching coding to school children.
Over the course of five years I taught Scratch a number of times. These screen shots are just a sampling of my teaching projects. Each game or demo is meant to demonstrate a particular programming concept or game mechanic, which can be learned, borrowed, and re-mixed into other projects. Some of the art is hand drawn and some of it is borrowed from pixel art games or the Scratch Sprite library.
